Those ML's will look awesome!
Always wanted a set for my dub which i never got :(
Instead i just found a set of Azev A's 10J at the rear for my drifter :D

Just roll the arches and stretch the tyres, remember you can poke em if needed

Made a bit more progress today

B and Q angle grinder (£9.99) set of googles and some grinding discs, and away i went on the rear lips.
Managed to get the car drivable with no rubbing issues now.

Originally i got 4 x tyres of a mate(£100)new, 205/40/16.fronts are fine, although im gonna stretch some 195/40 on the rears for more low.I am also gonna flare the rears more to.maybe some camber if needed.
As for the steering, cant really feel any difference.

Pics as promised:

Car is no where finished until i get the look im after

Looks good.

Re stretch: More stretch on rears than fronts looks odd.

A touch of camber will help with clearance.

looks good mate,

this is how we got mine to fit lol, lips are huge on the mk3 so they need to go to get them lower

But got the look i wanted in the end,

Picked up this bad boy last nite

Should be making a start on thursday
At the moment im running 205/40/16,how much of a difference will it make if change to more of a stretch, say like 195/40/16?
Also is it safe to cut away part of the inner arch(double skinned) :undecided: Or should i just flare them?

Looks awesome

195/45/16's are the size you need.

Arch lip needs to be folded or flared to keep strength in the panel.
