Quick wiring query
« on: 10 August 2011, 13:59 »
I'm wiring up some VDO's and have a quick query (I've had a look through the VDO threads). Is there a spare ignition live terminal on a 90spec fusebox I can just run a new wire from? If not where/what should I run the wire into? Got them working but it's on a constant live at present which obviously is no good. Was going to use the ciggy lighter live but it's a constant live, not ignition.

Please bare with me as I suck at electrics!

Cheers!

If you dont wanna take it to the Fuse box then tap into the radio Live as its switched...

Otherwise check out this... Q06 would be my guess...

Cheers Ken. Sorted now, found a spare ignition live hanging from the fusebox. Might be left over from the old alarm or something. Am going to use that.

Whilst on the subject of VDO's, a slight side issue the oil pressure sender I have came from an Audi and is marked 0-5 (gauges were from the same car). Anyone handy with ETKA that could possibly look up the part number 035 919 561? I think it's a sender which goes on the head however the casting is worn and I can't make the rating out.

Cheers

Last digit was a 1 sorry. Managed to clean it up a bit and all of the markings are:

035 919 561
5 90
30/80
0-5 bar
0.3 + 0.15 bar

Does this go in the side of the head or on the cooler?
