I've just applied and been approved for a new credit card. My current one is costing me interest which I could do without for now, so managed to get a Halifax Card with 17 months interest free balance transfer. I'll be chopping up the old one (along with canceling it) and will be storing the new one out of reach and will pay it off when I have a chance.
I think credit cards are brilliant (even though I am having problems at the moment) but it's about learning how to use them. Like has been said, do not spend what you can't afford.
