First gear issue

Hi guys,

Having trouble selecting first gear. Ive always had a little slack in the 'box but lost first gear the other day. The other gears are fine.

I had a look under the bonnet and just behind the engine I can see the linkage. There is a 'U' joint kind of shaft with what looks like a very worn bush. I'm guessing that this is the issue.

Any idea where I can obtain and how I can replace this bush? Ive had a look at the linkage repair guides but I'm not sure which part of the linkage this is.

Dont think you can buy the bush separate, whole kit on eBay for around £25. I think it from tierod so should be decent quality anyway. Otherwise try gsf or ecp
