getting an 8v to rev faster

as above realy. as some may be aware that i have stuck in a lightweight & balanced flywheel. now my mate drove it (he drives a cupra R REMAPPED) and says mine dont rev fast enought. i know its an 8v but i wanted to know what else i can stick on it to make it rev that bit better? car atm has a cat and a straight pipe to the backbox. no other mods performance wise.

when you say rev fast enough, do you mean when stationary?

off the mark. it starts going after certain revs (2.5RPM)

Still don't get if you mean when driving from a stand still or just parked up and revving?

sorry i think i have confused everyone. it reves all they way into the redline.
my mate drove my car after we spoke about few things that we have done to our cars. after he drove it he said it was sluggish and only starts reving faster once it gets past certain revs (about 2500RPM)

Put up with it! Unless you spend loads of money you wont get a lot out of an 8v

i know i want get much horses out of it but what about getting to rev alot more faster?

He has same engine in his LCR as what i have in my golf

its night and day difference between his engine and how it revs and yours
