Left school for college to do a BTEC in Art and Design. Finished that, took a year out to work as an artworker. Got bored with that and went to uni to study graphic design. Finished that a month ago and now looking for full time employment in London as a graphic designer.

I wish to end up in London one day. I'd go now but girlfriend isn't keen on moving there.

Fortunately my gf is a fashion designer and already has a job up there. Not so keen on London but that's where the work is.

Good luck with the search man. Sure you'll get something quick. :afro:

I worked in somerfield and weatherpsoons until 19
went to Uni
Lived in Italy building boats after Uni
Went to Tesco and worked as a manager for a few years on a Store Manager course, hated it and im now in IT contracting. Looking at Boosting my CV in IT while i learn some coding language. Im on a team migrating windows 7 to the companies new offices. I work right next to Tower Bridge. Its ok work and pay is good but its not what i want to specialise in.

Hoping the missus does well so i can retire and work from home making money through the internet.

I wanted to be a Vet...

Chemistry didn't want me to be.

So I went to 6th form, did a year of AS-levels, dithered for another year of AS's whilst I waited for college course to start. So now I have 6 AS levels. (Biology, Physics, English Lang, English Lit, Graphic Design, Critical Thinking... :lipsrsealed: )
Went to college did a diploma in engineering.
Went to Uni, did a degree in automotive engineering and design.
Got a job at a tier 1 OEM diesel engineering firm.
Moved to Sheffield, and now work as an R&D engineer

I wanted to work in a bank...... but study was never an interest for me (I went into the motor trade instead!) and it took me a further 12 years before I became a banker but now after 6+ years (and the collapse of financial services in general plus the very very near failure of where I work!!) this is my last week and I'm moving accross to insurance instead (which I currently have no knowledge or qualifications at!!)

I always wanted to be a vet but then realised near the end of school that I was simply not going to get the myriad of straight As at A level that were necessary to get on a course so decided to do a few varying A levels (I was right I only managed Bs), then couldn't decide what to do, tried uni and hated it with a passion as for me if it wasn't vet science it was pointless.

Always had a feeling I'd end up in IT as I'd had a vague interest since early teens and that's what I've ended up in. Started out working computer fairs selling equipment etc while at college then worked on a helldesk for a few years now doing second line stuff.

Still wish I was a vet  but overall it's not too shabby. I wish I earned more as my OH is likely getting made redundant in the quite near future and he is currently the bigger earner so god only knows what we'll do.

Jules, I'm doing win 7 migrations at the mo also. It's not pleasant, people are so resistant to change. Would do it naked with a smile for 50 fecking grand though lol!!
