plonk an rb26 in that mate

I'd rather have a normal aspirated engine in this! No ECU, no turbos, no electronics to go wrong :)

Would be awesome though!

Exactly!

Danny, i have another mag with 3 of these Datsuns in it. I'll keep it in the car and if i remember i'll buzz you on monday to drop it off at the canteen.
Cheers man would really appreciate that! How's the Cupra running?

ha ha, the cupra's gone. after the clutch went, i had it replaced and something else went on the bottom engine so sold it. just had enough of things going wrong. wouldnt sell on pistonheads/autotrader so put it on ebay and it went for £2300

win some lose some.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Some updates from today...

Boot floor made and put in...plus the new side parts fabbed up and welded in. Can get some paint under her now. Just rear shock towers and roof to finish the shell...then on to the cage.

I love watching this stage of a build coming together, just up until it is painted. Great work. Really looking forward to seeing what it ends up like.

Few udpates:

Worked out that when the cage goes in the rear storage compartments will be in the way...so out they come (Pre '71 Z's didn't have them anyway!):

One side of the door sill fabbed up and fitted...the bottom of the roof was barely attached to the rest of the body.

Underneath painted to protect it...lots of the paint will be coming off again when the plates are welded in for the cage but didn't want it all left bare:

Layed it back again and messed around while cleaning all the crap out of the garage...put some SE37k's under it for a laugh...

Ignore my friend he's mentally retarded.
