problem !!!!!!

As usual, when I am not sure, i come to the forum for expert advice/experiences.

My Mark 6 has now covered 24.5k and now when it is warming up i have noticed if i ask the car to accelerate from 1800rpm hard, it stutters like either a misfire or fuel starvation. Once above about 2500rpm to 3000rpm it seems to then sort itself out. My thoughts are that the turbo is starting to fail :cry:. Good news is the warranty will cover any work. Bad news is if they dont find anything, i am starting to feel that perhaps these great cars are not as bullet proof as I first thought.

Booked in with the local dealer on Monday, but thought worth asking your views, so p[erhaps i am slightly more educated when i arrive on monday morning.

Could be a coilpack

No engine is 100% bullet proof but you've got your warranty so don't worry  :wink:

ah, thanks. I would have thought that it would do it all the time if that was the cause :huh: although i dont thionk it accelerates like it use to, unless i have just got used to it.

sounds like how my problem started 

ended with a new engine... or atleast that what i thought  - did they not replace the engine?

Is there any smoke behind you when you accelerate hard? That would be more so an indication to turbo failure. Possibly an older diverter valve that has split? I noticed some of the MK6s coming with the older type?

Yep they replaced the engine... still sounds like a baked bean can on start up. I would also get your spark plugs checked or changed. There have been a few issues with the bosch ones :nerd:

Although that mostly relates to the 1.4TSi 160ps but VW appear to have admitted there is a problem!!

Mine does this to a similar degree too (stutters) i have been reading other forums trying to see if others have suffered it.
A few have and theres was either the fuel pump or coil pack.
