Decided to go for the AG version, but trying to get this organised with them is a nightmare. Always engaged, then they never call back.  I suppose they can let their customer service fall now seeing as their main competition went bust a little while back.

I got in touch with Admiral when I incurred rear windscreen damage a few weeks ago and was put through to National Windscreens. They were very efficient, called back and said they would have to order an OEM rear screen from VW. My excess was to be £70. I decided not to go for a replacement just yet and got Glas Weld to fix the 5 gouge marks which they have partially. National Windscreens would not attempt this with the excuse that the glass would shatter as it is not laminated. If I do get my rear screen replaced, they will have to do so at the VW Bodyshop where the Bodyshop fitter will be involved with the trim removal and re-fitting. I simply cannot trust the windscreen company to do a competent enough job.

A total 'mare' trying to get AG to even answer the phone. Now got it booked for screen replacement next wednesday. I'm hoping all will be okay  :undecided: but knowing my Donald Duck

^^^ not necessarily true. Every VW I've ever had was fitted with Sekurit glass. When I've used Autoglass they've always supplied one from Pilkington. Never had any problems with the Pilkington product though.
