I had a bit of a mare with them tbh, my mk5 needed a new screen so went through insurance, they came to my house to do it, 2 "technicians" made a complete mess of the cracked screen when trying to cut it out, it was bonded so close they actually shattered the one side! When they ran that cutting tool round the top corners they gouged the bodywork and by gouge i mean took the paint off and actually dented the metal being so rough! When they eventually got the old screen out and vacumed all thebits of glass out the car they turned to removing the rain sensor which was bonded to the old screen, they hacked away at the rubber bond making a right mess and when i asked if he was putting that on the new screen? "yes mate it'll still work fine!" did it fook!? They then put the new screen in too low and over to the drivers side so i could see down the back of the dash through that spotted bit round the screen, they hadn't put the rain channel at the top right so water would sit on the bonding agent. Fookin rediculous!!!
After complaining about what a shambles it was to head office, they put a new screen in at the depot and sent a chip repair company to fix the damage to the body and also got a new rain sensor from vw and fitted that too.

Oh and the new screen wasn't much good either! So would i use them again? Not a chance!!

The problem with AG etc is that you could either have one of their best technicians come out or a guy who's not very good and you won't know untill it's too late

Agreed :afro: the screen will be fine however

The last screen I got from AG was a VW screen, they had just etched off the VW logo but you could still see it in certain light.

So sorry to see this.
Are there 2 bits of damage? The roof and the top edge of the windscreen?
Touch it with Chipex. Or maybe a localised repair and paint job. Otherwise, if you took it to a VW Bodyshop, they'll want to spray the whole roof, which would then mean they'd remove the windscreen and the rear hatch.
Oh yes. I have also had roof damage, TWICE.

Screen damage,

Decided to go for the AG version, but trying to get this organised with them is a nightmare. Always engaged, then they never call back.  I suppose they can let their customer service fall now seeing as their main competition went bust a little while back.
