test drive a 16v if you can too.. just to see how much u notice the difference...


price doesnt seem too bad.. not sure what mine would be worth now (its got 80k on it and is in great nick)


ps *cough* 8v's are gay *cough* LOL!
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

LOL i would love a 16v but for now:

Beggars/choosers etc = 8V

The only issue with that car im viewing tonight is the bloomin 5 DOORS!

I cant find a 3 Door 16V Golf with Leathers to save my life.....

i heard the 8V has more Torque aswell (at lower revs obviously)

Apparently it's a myth but you can still give a 16v a run for its money in an 8v up to about 70mph theres not a great deal of difference im sure one of the my cars better than your car people will have something to say about that though .. :laugh: :laugh: :tongue:

Mines an 8v Btw... :evil: :grin:

When you get fed up of the 8 vs 16 valve bickering, compromise and get 12 valves. :grin:
