Well...just been on the blower to Les at VeeDub Machine and apparently (after checking a vag parts system) there is no variation between the 3 - 5dr reg's so I've ordered a brand new one minus the motor on next day all in at ~£31.53  thought that was bit of a snap really considering i've been quoted £40 for a used one.

Will be here tomorrow so will let you know if indeed it does fit ok....Here's hoping!

I'm also needing one of these. The White clip/bracket at the bottom has smashed so the window fell in. Took the panel off and pushed the window back up just now. If someone has 1 spare send me a pm with details and price please. Cheers

iv done 2 passenger regs in the last year, bought one off of ebay and one from ECP no more than 50notes each.

yeah its a kick in the spuds, but when you tell your mate dont use the window and they do and the window stays down you have to part with the money  lol

would we say £50 is expensive for a reg??

I used my original motor as that was working fine and just changed the reg. easy job to do tbh. I ended up doing it in the pissing rain under a halogen lamp cos I didn't get the part till late in the day (9pm!) but took the reg out in about 10 mins, changed the motor over and dropped it back in again.

The test is now to see wether the reg is any good as it's obviously not an OEM part (although apparently German made!)

Tis bloody nice to be able to use the window again....seems quite novel!!
