The price they where selling it for was £20 for the tool plus 75 for the map file, however as r-tech said and the guy from the company just confirmed it will not work with the AGU so grrrrr
He went on to expalin if i removed my ecu, opened it up, de-souldered the chip it could then be done....but sod that..lol

20 quid for a mapping tool, feck me those things are cheap.

Not so easy that desoldering without the correct kit and training.

Your always better going to a tuner rather than doing it your self and hoping to get good results at 95 quid your already half way there (ish) to having a map from any of the GTIforums traders

Dont try and lift the chip get it wong and the PCB will also peel up with the chip and render the ecu as a door stop.

Wel im a motorbike technicain and tuner and also do alarm repairs and installs on bikes, but im not even going to attemp to remove the chip. Im looking for the remap without having to do anything more than plug it in and hey presto...lol

Gav that tool is likely to be a clone tool at that price (illegal clone in fact).

Anyways de-soldering the chip is one way of doing it but you'll need a chip flasher - if you can send us the ECU instead, we can tune and return for £150 inc return postage.
