What engine did you fit? What year is your car and what year was the engine? Did you reuse the same loom or did you change it?

Lockey, I'm picking up my 96 tdi on sat. Goner run it for a few months then do what you have done put the tdi lump into my 96 gti 8v which is mint. Figured a tdi will be a much better than the weak 8v.
Got any tips?? Did you use your gti fuel tank? Have you got A/C?

Yeah ya will have to change accelerator pedal if it doesnt have the mounting for the drive by wire on it which involves removing dash and heater matrix and ya may change cable gear linkages from tdi into the gti and swap over the hydraulic clutch cylinder and wiring from fusebox forward and use the tdi front end with radiator and that

why are you doing this? you got a mint gti so your fitting a tdi engine?

why don't you just have two cars? doesn't make sense
