can get a walbro thats a direct fit and its less than £100. the S3 is no better than what u already have TBH

You're wrong there Brad, all petrol Mk4's were fitted with same fuel pump, the S3/LCR were fitted with uprated pumps so it's a significant upgrade.

Yup, whereas the standard pump will struggle at 230bhp.

The walbro pumps also make a racket. If I ever get to the point where the s3 pump isn't good enough I'll fit an inline walbro as well.

Also car is booked in for fmic on 5th August, I'm in Holland between 1st - 7th for MIVW so I'll have that to look forward to when I get back.

Depending on how expensive Holland ends up being some new coilovers will be ordered when I get back. Looking at Weitec TXs at the moment

Thats bollox about the Bhp capabilities (not saying you are talking bollox - just the internet in general), i can back this up as i have 350 bhp on a 8v pump, 580cc injectors, big turbo etc etc and it flows more than enough

however, going for custom map soon so walbro it is. these can cope with 700hp and is the pump that everyone uses.

I am going for a inline one, so the original will still be in the tank also..

only noisy if you dont insulate  ;-)

Each to their own mate, I've spoken to a lot of people who have all recommended upgrading from the standard pump, for the sake of £30 (which is all the S3 pump cost me) in my opinion it's worth doing.
