Yeah, sold it in July 2011!

Got a build thread for the Mk2 knocking about anywhere?

I'm really torn about what to do with this, a big part of me wants to get air but for the cost of the setup I want I could get some nice wheels and a big turbo :undecided:

Another day, another update!

Started the day by doing rear axle bushes, jacked the rear of the car up and this happened:

Pretty much how I want the front to be sat so looks like air will be on the way soon.

How it actually was:

We decided that the easiest way of doing it would be with the rear axle off the car:

Old bushes were a b@stard to get out, new ones went in without a hitch!

Whilst the car was in the air and the axle off I had a play around with the position of the exhaust as it was touching the rear beam slightly when hot, pleased to say that has now stopped!

Then did front discs and pads and bled the brakes all round:

Got the car home and gave it a wash:

The reason I use 2 buckets and grit guards:

The result:

Also logged maf readings earlier and hit 175g/s when bouncing off the limiter in 3rd which works out at about 220bhp

Do you need to have the wheels aligned again now?

Just standard bushes from VW

Do you ever get to any meets?

Do you need to have the wheels aligned again now?

Probably

I haven't had alignment done since I first lowered it :lipsrsealed:

Went to the Dub Fiction meet tonight:

Went to the Just Dubs show yesterday and a mate got a couple of rolling shots on the way back:

This morning I set about repairing my front valance, it's taken a beating from being low and was peppered in stone chips. It looks like when it was last painted no primer was used

Anyway, got it sanded down:

Note the damage:

Repaired that using some ultra strong 2 part epoxy resin, it's hidden when on the car so not too bothered about it really.

High build primer which was then sanded back:

Finished:

It's very dull at the moment, going to wait for the paint to harden properly then see what I can do with the machine polisher.

Doesn't look too bad on though:
