Ok, maybe it'll have to wait! Literally got no spare cash atm and already have paint I could have used!

Since you're painting stuff, perhaps the intake manifold in red???

Ahh i see haha Red it is then

Mate DONT reuse the gasket, i changed mine, it was 30 quid ish from Audi. but while your at it do the Half moon seal too under the tensioner on the right hand side, its about a Fiver from the dealer and one of the weak points for oil leaks on 1.8T engines

did all these on mine when i do my cam cover

I also used some of the silicone VAG sealant as per service Dept guidelines at Audi

Are you going RED with the cover then ?

I won't be reusing the gasket then, I've got a mate who works at VW in Doncaster so I'll get him to get hold of gaskets/seals for me

I'm was thinking black rocker cover with red anodised bolts....not too sure what to do with the intake yet....was thinking of polishing it but unsure :undecided:

I was tempted to paint mine until I saw how nice a finish you can get on them with some effort and a polishing kit.

Yeah you're being thick...

I was being nosey about the PM.  Was it about what was used to get the intake like he did.
