Hey guys

Well one thing that came out of my remap at weekend is the need for the fuel filter to be changed! Anyone got some pics of where it is or a guide to changing it please?

Still can't get over the difference the remap has made the car is awesome! Relly feel the power at about 3000 rpm!

It's apparently very easy to change, a 5 minute job. Do a search, this gets asked a lot. I'm on my phone so can't help.

Fuel filter is under your petrol tank, jack your car up and have a look behind your drivers side rear wheel and you will see it, easy job   :afro:

Well its not directly there but you WILL see it, look from under the sill, cant miss it.. its silver  :wink:

that guide on vw vortex is american, hence why they state the filter is behind the PASSENGER wheel!! if mk4's are anything like my mk2 gti then it really is easy, just changed mine! just note there will be lots of high pressure fuel which will run all down your arms and possibly your armpits so work quickly!!

You should remove the fuse for the fuel pump, then run the car until it stops this lets the pressure out of the system then you ok to replace the filter. :smiley:

just make sure you close your eyes when you pull the pipes off... :smiley:
