Schmidt Modern-line alloys
« on: 04 July 2011, 18:47 »
Got messed about last week buying some bbs rs for the mk3.
So have decided to buy the wheels i have always liked on the mk3

The only thing im not sure on is wheel fitment :undecided:
I want wider rears,so would i be correct in buying these fitments:

FRONT WHEEL SETUP:           REAR WHEEL SETUP:
Size: 16x7.5"                   Size: 16x9.0"
PCD/Offset: 5x100 ET35   PCD/Offset: 5x100 ET25

I know i may need to do some arch work for the rears, its just the ET i dont understand :undecided:

Just a note on these, only the 9" versions have the concave face. The 7.5" have a much straighter face. If you want the concave look all around you'll need 9's all around.
At 9" wide and ET25 you might need to flatten the lips on your arches and/or roll then depending on how low you are.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

Will need work but use 195/45/16's tyres and see how they fit.

Good choice.

Check out G60_Rob's thread for fitment.

Could always drop him a PM about his setup.

don't get 9" front et25!!!
I have 8" front and et20 and they only just tuck under, fall camber and arch rolled and flared.

I have 8" front et20 9" rear et21 and the rear needed to be rolled.

I would go for your first fitment.
