Removed all the sill trims today and got as much of that bloody sticky stuff off as i could, the sill's themselves are all in pretty good condition although the n/s is better than the o/s which has a small 2p sized hole near the front arch which i'll get patched at the next mot in december.
Gave them a good clean and wax and cleaned out the rust traps at the ends of the sills in the wheelarches so next job is to get underneath and re-coat all the brake and fuel lines with white grease before winter.

Lucky you, I've really got to get around to whipping my skirts off before the weather gets really bad and I'm not looking forward to it tbh. I know they were fine when i bought the car a couple of years ago but they haven't been off since and it's not had much love the past year or so.  :undecided:

Just turned 145000 miles and still going strong, needs some new bushes in the shift tower because the gearchange gets a bit notchy at times and could do with some paintwork repairs, all of which i'll do if it ever stops raining.

Cheers fella's, i had a good poke around underneath while i was re-hanging the middle box the other day and it all still seems pretty solid, i have noticed that there are some tiny rust scabs forming on the drivers side sill under the door so i'm going to completely strip the sills, treat any rust and then paint them with stone chip and dragon green over the top as i don't like the black sill look.. thats if it ever stops raining... the plan this year is paintwork paintwork and more paintwork...
