« on: 07 April 2005, 22:36 »
Hi All

Wanted to get a turbo timer fitted so was wondering if any of you's have one, and what is best to go for.

I have heard that the blitz is supposed to be good.

also are they difficult to fit.

Thanks for Help

i had one, but you need to bypass the vw immobiliser when you remove the key or it will just kill the engine anyway.  Ditched it in the end.  New turbos don't need much cooling down anyway as they don't get as hot as older ones on the likes of rs turbos etc. :undecided:

sold mine beforw fitting cause everyone said it was effort to fit and pointless

if you have a clifford alarm you can wire that into the car to keep the ignition live when you remove the key and then turn the engine off after the time you set. easy to do without buying extra things. just a relay and some wire.
