and if i could what sort of boost would you see?

Im gonna take a guess, as I dont know, but I reckon theres more to it than that. Probably the engine internals wont be able to cope and you would probably need a new engine management set up.

If your car is rot free it could be up for an engine conversion, but its a lot of work from a lower-engined car

Must be.. they didn't do an OEM turbo engine on petrols. Feel free to buy it and see if you can make it fit It does need one or two other bits to go with it though

thats from a 1.9 TDI engine code 1Z. Its a lot more complicated than just bolting it on

But you can in theory just bolt a tubby on if you can get the manifold etc...
Then you would need new management, which isn't cheap!
