could i just fit a turbo to my car?

i got a 1.6GL

and if i could what sort of boost would you see?

Im gonna take a guess, as I dont know, but I reckon theres more to it than that. Probably the engine internals wont be able to cope and you would probably need a new engine management set up. :undecided:

If your car is rot free it could be up for an engine conversion, but its a lot of work from a lower-engined car

Must be.. they didn't do an OEM turbo engine on petrols. Feel free to buy it and see if you can make it fit :D It does need one or two other bits to go with it though ;)

thats from a 1.9 TDI engine code 1Z. Its a lot more complicated than just bolting it on :P

But you can in theory just bolt a tubby on if you can get the manifold etc...
Then you would need new management, which isn't cheap!

Could be banter though!
