mk2 G60 brakes with uprated discs and pads are the way to go with 4 studs hubs i believe.

Yup.

However what's the point of spending a lot of money on brakes? You're running a car with not that much power so the standard brakes should be more than enough. If they're feeling old and worn then just replace with standard items and save your money to spend elsewhere, like buying a GTI?  :smiley:

You ever driven a 1.6? I've actually gottem used to not braking as much  as possible. They are awful!

Pretty sure they're the same 256 brakes as the 16v Mk2, which aren't too bad  :undecided:
