a little bit but not much. the discs are vented whereas yours are prob solid but that wont make much of a difference in normal conditions. the braided hoses will give a slightly better feel when you hit the brake pedal as the older rubber hoses expand slightly when put under high pressure. The pads are obviously better than standard and will make a difference but not a massive amount. To be honest i'd keep standard apart from the braided brake hoses. If you really want to upgrade then you need to go with bigger discs and calipers

Obviously you could get drilled and grooved discs and uprated pads but the cost of those don't make it worth it. a 1.6 isn't built to be driven aggressively so i suggest being nice to it!

Yup.

However what's the point of spending a lot of money on brakes? You're running a car with not that much power so the standard brakes should be more than enough. If they're feeling old and worn then just replace with standard items and save your money to spend elsewhere, like buying a GTI?

this is my point lol, thats why i was only looking at spending a bit more on disc's and pads reather then doin a whole system change, and would love to get a gti but being 19 this is out of the question
