Not done a rear yet! But replaced both fronts and THE only way to get them out is to smash them to bits! :grin:

ABS light on is a definite fail. No question. FAIL!
I know as I had this on one of my Pug 405's it was only an intermittent light fault as if you switched off and started the car again the light would go off, but it still failed.

You have to replace a rear sensor with the wire attached version you cannot just unplug the sensor at the wheel end ,them rear ones on ebay without the wire are infact front ones as i found out .got a rear from gsf in the end,still hasnt fully fixed my ABS probs though and MOT  is looming :shocked:

Fun,fun fun then it still wont work,mine is peeing me right off at the mo ha  :grin: think i need a new ecu but theres no number on it and there are so many to choose from ,wat a mare :laugh:

Jesus this is starting to sound like a bit of pig job.vag com tells me rear right sensor fault! One out one in job done surly! Even if you do need a hammer  :smiley: :smiley:

People are making it sound a lot worse than it actually is, yes they do get seized into position BUT it's still not a big job to replace them.

Front ones really rust in, i haven't done a rear one to date.
Nothing a hammer and chisel won't sort out  :grin:

Once the bolt is out you can use a thin punch through a hole in the brake disc to remove the remainder of the broken sensor.
