Axle bushes

hi guys,going to be fitting new rear axle bushes soon,mot is due :sad:,now i have bought some febi oe ones but also i have some of them poly bush insert jobbies too ,now i know some of you say standard is best and others like to go for the full poly type so maybe a combination of the two would be best not to flexible or to stiff,anyone got any expierience of these :smiley:

How exactly were you planning on utilising both types of bushes on the rear beam?   :huh:

You can get poly inserts that fit into the standard bush, I would not bother.

So best just sticking with the standard then,got the inserts for 99p on ebay auction where as ive seen them for a tenner before so havent really lost ought.

recently had polys fitted and handling ace ! old ones were totally shot though! lol

Yeah I'm aware of this type but going on what Screech has posted it would mean destroying a brand new set of standard bushes just to insert the poly ones as well. Pointless. If you're fitting poly inserts then you may as well just push them into the existing bush shells.

I've not seen that type before, only the poly ones that replace the entire rubber guts of the standard bushes retaining the outer metal casing.
Do theses ones even do anything and I also imagine these wouldn't even stay in place on older worn standard bushes.

Yeah they are well tight to get in they come with some lube,make the standard bush a bit more firm,i would never fit these to an old worn bush though :smiley:

You might as well fit the if you've got them and seeing as they don't really complicate the job much  :smiley:
