Mk2 8v tappets noisy

I had to flush mine twice. It worked, 145k on the clock.

As already said, check oil pressure.

Could be a noisy injector or two. Put a screwdriver to your ear and the other end on each injector.

What engine flush is everyone using? Are u using the adative u add to oil or the 5l flush u drain oil and put flush in and run engine for 10 mins??

I'm getting my oil pressure checked in few days when mate bk from holiday

Yeh the injectors on these are pretty loud after a good few miles. Deffo worth checking too. Mine are too loud, might get some new ones.

I would avoid engine flush.

Is there a way of testing my tappets with rocket cover off and cam still in place? Will the noisy one not have as much play as the others??
