That's one hack I'd be very interested in.
It is not adjustable. In my case a VW-specialist, 2 VW dealers and VW-UK had a go and failed. The VAG-COM wont let you do it. It could be because it's a new-ish model and not all the codes have been released or simply that it cant't be adjusted.

I remember being told by everyone and their dogs that it was impossible to make OEM bi-xenons plug and play and that the shutters side of the xenons would never work without the original control units / wiring.....
