How easy to remove manifold on turbo

well my car is still sounding like a tractor after changing manifold on the cat so must be gasket on the mainfold or its cracked (how easy is it crack ?)

so my question is how easy is it to remove the manifold and check

so my question is how easy is it to remove the manifold and check
. Drop down pipe 4 17mm nuts, lower turbo mount 6mm allen bolts, remove lower part of tip 5mm Allen bolt,  remove top boost pipes from turbo, undo 17mm nut manifold to turbo, the turbo will drop down about 2" which will give you enough room to get to the lower 12mm manifold nuts.

i would budget atleast half a day depending how handy with the spanners
Mk4 Golf GTI anniversary and mk6 golf tdi :)
