Hi quick question, would the pads on the rear wearing thin have an affect on the abs kicking in at low speeds?

Pads will make little or no difference.
Get it scanned for fault codes however if you have no light someone may have removed the bulb.

Ok cheers, will check bulb later
Getting it booked it for full service and timing belt change at end of month, as off for a couple of weeks, will get them to have a look at codes for me.

Check the wires on the two front abs sensors, mine was doing this for a while with intermittent abs light, then stopped but constant abs light. Turns out my wires were resting on my driveshaft and gradually wore through.
Could be worth checking
