fair point but i need tyres now anyway so going with 195/45's then spacers and archwork if its needed.

Switch the tyres 1st and see what room that gains you.

Looking at that 195's won't make much difference!
I had 12mm spcaers on the golf and it touched the outer arch real lightly on 205's so on yours 10mm spacers and 195's I think you'll be fine?

I would say you have the wrong offset wheels.

You can run 215 tyres and I still have a set to prove that!
They are on correct offset wheels (17x7.5) and never rubbed anywhere!
Fit some concentric spacers 10mm should do.

If i remember the car it's on standard wheels?
I think the suspension cup's are wrong (I do know standard shocks have a removable spring plate.....It could be possible the kit has fixed spring plates which are designed for a mk2 for example?)

correct re the wheels, not sure about the suspension, bought it from khare last year? just hope the 195's solve the problem.

the whole car is for sale as is it now, lost interest again, its just no good as a daily for me. i need a diesel with monster truck suspension!!!

as i said i had standerd wheels with 195 tyres and it rubbed so used 10mm spacers which sorted it
