rear tyres rubbing on cups!!!!!
« on: 05 June 2011, 12:29 »
getting some pretty bad rubbing on the cups at the rear.

tyres on the rear are 205/50's, if i went 195/45's would that clear the cups or will i need spacers as well?

the struts are spax btw so not standard, think the cups must be bigger?

Doubt it will clear with these^^ alone , 195 45 + spacers by the look of it

both sides but this is the worst

actually, i have 195/45s on the front so i'll do a swap and see how much clearance i have with them on the rear.

i'm thinking 20mm spacers and 195/45's and hammer the arches, kill 2 birds with one stone.

This is what I would do.

i have too much tuck anyway but i know that the arches are rotten under the plastic trims. looks like i'm gonna have to grind the rust out, seal the arches and hope there is enough left to bond the arches back on to.

either that or put the standard shocks back on......
