I might be fitting a boost guage onto a mates Ibiza PD130, And I know it has to be T'eed into a vac pipe, but I've never worked on one, so where does it need tapping into? I assume they have a vac pipe to the ECU?

No.. Firstly the ECU is only electrical and does not create vacuum at all, is merely electrics.. Secondly fitting a boost gauge on a diesel is different to fitting one on a petrol, on a petrol as you did say correctly you connect it to a Vacuum line but on a diesel you have to connect it to a boost pipe.. I believe you can buy a threaded T-piece and tap into a boost pipe.. this will do the trick.. Hope this helps
Thanks Damon

As per Damon.
Tell your mate to buy this
EGR Valve from Allard
, they have a take off to fit a boost gauge.
What year is the Ibiza?
