dogdy cold running diigifant

my transporter van (2.0l petrol) has decided to idle very rough and stall when cold, it's absolutlly fine once run for a couple of minutes but i cant figure it out as i've never fiddled with digifant before, i've checked the isv and that's fine, now i'm stuffed  anyone got any ideas?

yeah may be the blue temp sender plug on the water housing on the froint of the block, this tells the ecu the engine temp they are about 15 quid from vw, also check for splits/leaks/missing pipes in the vacuum circuits and the pleated throttle body pipe

thanks ed, i'll have a look, after years with k-jet this digifant is a little confusing  :undecided:

exactly the same problem i have logged on forum at present with my digifant mk3 gti 8vi am going to change temp sensor at weekend after that it could be cold start valve it is a bit dearer though

so many sensors and electronics!! it was easier with a choke which worked when you pulled the cable

except that choke was normally connected to a pierburg carb........not so good!

or even worse and 'automatic' choke!

automatic at staying on!  :shocked:

the most reliable was on my scooter an oversize dellorto with a big bell mouth on you put your hand over it to start it in winter when warmer a peice rag was more technical!!
