engine has started to smoke

Hi all my gti turbo has decided to start puffing smoke out it only does it if you leave it on idle and then blip the throttle and it does a little puff then disapears its blue in colour so its got to be oil burning its not the turbo as ive had it changed thinking it was that causing the problem does anyone have any ides cheers chris

Might still be your turbo seals.

well it was a brand new turbo not recon etc

Remove the inlet pipes and see if you have any oil in them

yer not hardly any oil in the pipes at all, it dont smoke when you drive its only when you get to a junction etc and sit there in idle for a bit the blip the throttle and the a puff comes out the ie you pull away its fine even on boost

Could be you valve stem seals

id rather it be the stem seals than the rings gone,but are they seals or are they just guides???

You will have valve stem seals.
