Hiya!
Try checking the connections on both sides (stereo loom and car loom) for the power connection plug. Make sure that the pins match up with each other, i.e. Power cable in car loom is being connected to power cable on stereo etc. If they aren't you may need to reconfigure the plugs by removing and reinserting the pins. Another thing is that as far as I am aware there is no switchable power supply to the stereo from the car loom. (This is the yellow? cable that should plug into the stereo.) This is solved by connecting the switchable power supply wire from the stereo into the constant power wire (red). This means that you should have 2 constant power wires from the cars loom going into the stereos constant power and switchable power wires. Look for a plug that has a spare socket to it on the constant (red) wire and plug in the switchable wire.
I hope this makes some sense and that my memory has served me right!!
