4wd 150?
« on: 25 May 2011, 14:27 »
Been looking around for a 4Motion Golf mk4 or bora with the 150 PD lump. I fancy one because with the torque and grip I thought they might get away from the lights better..

Do they exist?

If so, where are they, been searching auto trader but nothing.

I don't think there was a 4mo Derv in the MKIV range. There are derv 4mo passats of that era but they're like hens teeth.

Think you could get one in Europe but definitely not the UK

Early MK5's had 4Motion but they quickly dropped it  :undecided:

Right, fair shout, I got my answer :( . I know there was a Cupra4 for the Euro Market, but they are left-hookers.

My budgets sub 5k for a fast diesel, Just gonna have to look at the 150 boras and golfs then. I wish I could stretch to the 170 pd motor in the octy vrs or a golf mk5 but just out my league.

Cheers guys

Remember that the 150's tend to suffer with an expensive cam eating problem!

Isn't that just down to poor oil changes?

Yes and no  :undecided:  Its more likely due to a poor batch of components

and the 130 has the same camshaft  :lipsrsealed:
