Use a 2E dizzy if you can't get hold of an adapter plate. Doing this conversion at the mo.

- Mk3 breather hose setup or blanking plate (TSR do them)
- Mk3 2.0 spark plugs
- Standard clutch is fine but worth replacing if everything is in bits and you don't know the history (in my opinion)
- Engine mounts are probs worth doing while everything is out

or just use the existing breather, rip off the hose and whack a huge nut bolt with a washer either side, worked for me! and i also used normal 1.8 8v spark plugs should i be using 2l ones.......

Thanks 4 the link and the info now I can get my head round it and thanks 4 the engine offer 2 but ive got 1 sorted now, pics will be posted when I can figure out how to do it off my phone lol

1 more thing lol the thick black wire that comes from the bottom of the block near the flywheel (looks like a crank sensor) what is it and do I need it cuz I couldnt find 1 on my old engine

Sounds like a crank sensor to me, especially given the position.

picture? got to agree with diamond hell crank positioning sensor. "Modern" cars dont have a dizzy.

for the breather on the block when i did mine i got a pipe from a polo breather system as this was metal. then i cut it down and used a pipercross breather filter on it
