Shallow Sumpage?

Long and the short is THE f**kING SPEED BUMP JUMPED UP AND HIT MY CAR! Grr atthe single speed bumps designed soley to attack my sump!

So my sump has cracked and i've been looking around at various options. A shallow sump seems to be the best option slightly further off the ground and with a steel bottom.

I just wondered whos using them? Are they hard to fit yourself?

And which one is the best to buy and from where?

I've been looking at the one on G werks.

Looked into this meself a few months bk.and i decided less oil prob aint a good option after all theres that much oil and the standard sumps that size for a reason.

your better off with engine spacers, 15mm ahould be best

So not really rated then. Worth just getting a standard sump? Any ideas where i can buy one today for delivery tomorrow? Any ideas how much one from tps?

I just spoke to gwerks to check stock and theres arnt baffeled it would make sence tho.

The psi one is the same as g werks no?

Anyore oppinions would be great.

TPS standard sump was around 85 quid when i got my last one,  pretty sure theres around 15 allen keyed bolts then trubo pick up pipe to take off, just put some sump sealer around the top then bang the new one back on,  oh and think theres two or three larger bolts,  bout an hours job id say ,,

How hard is it to do the engine spacers? I'm Guessing you need to do exactly that! With the engine on a hoist and change the spacers. But that can be left for another time once the sump is fixed.


Oh I was expecting people to rate the shallow sumps. I was quoted 92quid + vat at tps! Which is almost the same price as a shallow one!
Does anyone have a trade name i can use to get some discount =D

Welding up a sump? Worth doing any obvious problems with this? Someone at work could weld it up for me i think.
