CRANK POSITION SENSOR

THE LOOM HAS NO IMOBERLISER

ENGINE CRANKS OVER JUST NO SPARK HAS ANYONE HAD SAME EXPERIENCE OR HAVE AN IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE CHEERS

Hi, have you checked the hall sensor (cam position sensor)

This is the plug below the distributor.

You should be able to but a lamp or meter across the outputs and carefully move the car by hand with it in gear.

Should get a light/buzz/continuity every full revolution.

Plug it into vagcom, it'll tell you of anything you may have missed.

pluged it in alredy all it said was key staus not ok but thats sorted now and it dosent come up with no problems now

Earths or have you tried the leads? Also was it a cheep crank sensor as there well known not to work.

all earths are fine and theres no spark to the distributer. crank sensor was from mates running gti so i know it works. lool just making it clearer with the capital letters.

Have u checked the HT leads? Also check ignition switch, and finally what's ur battery like? If it's pooop n not giving out enough power the spark won't b strong enough to start the engine.

Have you checked the lead from the coil though? Also which coil do you have as there's a one piece and two piece? The two piece one has a separate amplifer, so if its this one did you change both parts?

Just a long shot and I'm not doubting your work but is the crank sensor all the way in? First time I done mine i thought it was but it wasn't and didnt work.
