Oil pump drive

Is the oil pump on a mk3 chain driven?  How hard would you say it would be to change an oil pump? Relatively straight forward or does this need to go to a garage

Does anyone know where I could pick a pump up? My engine code is AEX but I can't seem to find the part anywhere :/ cheers guys!

Oil pump is driven off the intermediate shaft, which is driven by the cambelt.

To change the oil pump, sump off, two bolts out, pull downwards...reverse sequence for fitting the new one. That's it.
(assuming the AEX is the same as all other VW small block and tall block 4 cylinder engines)

Just checked and it is chain driven

Oil filter / oil pump / 1.4/1.6 ltr. / AEX,AEE 

1 = 032115105G

I am not sure, I believe it is a 8v

The AEX engine is an 8v :p does the cam belt have to come off for this? :confused:
