need help with my mk4 2.0lt gti HELP
« on: 11 May 2011, 11:24 »
hi i dont know if anyone can help me but my gti 2.0  is running like a sack of s**T . when i turn it on the rev go up and down it never ticks over in one spot it also cuts out when i stop to give way  .

started with a new fan belt and cos the check light was on i was told to get a new mass air flow.

i put the new one on and it was running good for a couple of weeks then it just cut out on me so i had to pull the cable off the mass air flow to get home  and it seems to tick over ok .
went and got another one but its doing the same thing

before this problem i had a new water pump put on by a so called Mechanic. dont know if he would of had to take the timing belt off to do the job but if he did could it be a timing problem.
