replacement rear discs
« on: 09 May 2011, 15:19 »
just received these...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370350076989&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

and they are clearly front discs. have the counter sink for the screw that attaches them to the hubs and nowhere for the bearings to press into. i have emailed them but no reply. have also just noticed that they are 239mm so very sure these are driver fronts (they are solid).

or am i wrong? did any golfs come with 239mm rear discs that screw onto a seperate hub?

No

Even mk3 rear discs are the same fitment

You have front ones son!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

grr. they are suggesting they will accept them back and supply the right ones, but the right ones are nearly double the price!

if they dont take these back i could always use them on the wife's mk3 diesel (if it EVER runs again...)

The listing is for a Rallye so are suitable for the syncro .. prob correct rears in this case.

I believe as above Syncro rears were different so they might be correct in that case, however will be wrong for a standard mk2.

What wrong with the Mrs's Mk3? If it's a 1.9 TD I'll take it off your hands if you like
