My GTI keeps me young(ish), mostly because it gives me an excuse to have a bit of childish banter with likeminded individuals on the forums where I've 'met' some great people. The car itself bores my arse off though! Well, it did before I added a few bits to it, now it's just slightly dull.

I also own an elderly Ibiza GTI, I prefer it to the Golf to be honest, it's old and not immaculate so I don't have to worry about where I leave it. It has good alround visibility and makes a nice noise. It's also quite pretty and has character.
The only downsides are the fact that it's a bit slow and the ride is hard. So that GTI could keep me young I guess(?)
The last GTI I really liked was my black '91 8V GTI, I didn't realise how much I liked that car until I sold it - on my Birthday! I sat through my Birthday meal and couldn't eat a thing......

That was a good few years ago now and I've never become attached to a car since, they're all a bit dull.
