The really daft part about Jay is that it is fitted in the through the top, so you have to remove the heater box to change it, why they could not have gone for the drivers side is beyond me.

Well most matrix systems are centralised for even heat distribution and the top access I would guess be the most logical place to feed the fresh air from as its level with bulkhead. Enough from me want to see pictures of hands after wards

Good news!

Double check that bleeding procedure, but basically you want to:
Keep it circulating through the heater matrix (ie heater on full chat) to prevent air trapment
Keep the header tank topped up (helps to have an assistant for this)
Wait for it to get up to temp, thermostat opens, and pump the rad hoses to encourage the coolant through and the air out
You can do all this on idle, but it'll all warm up and all happen quicker with throttle open to ~2k rpm ;)

Build thread clicky

Few pictures from earlier, all now up and running just a few tweaks needed tomorrow.

All in all it took around 14 hours, it is not that hard a job but so much needs to be removed to gain access.

You know the best trick to get air out of the cooling system is to leave the expansion cap off over night!
Start the car get it up to temperature let it cool then take the cap off and leave it off till morning.
Air has a way of finding itself to the top, a few squeeze of the rad pipes before bedtime and morning will work all air bubbles out to the expansion bottle!
