Crank sensor
« on: 26 April 2011, 17:58 »
Right so speaking to the mechanic guy today about the cutting out and he said he would clean the throttle body for me. I said I had been doing some homework (asking you guys) and been informed that if it wasn't that it could be the crankshaft sensor.
So he tells me it doesn't have a crankshaft sensor. He said it has a distributor and no crank sensor.
Can anyone enlighten me?

He did agree with me about the air leak though and said he would find it.

Looks like an 8v to me. AGG engine code. There should be sticker on the cover on the left hand side of the engine block (as you look in the picture) behind that breather hose.
