Yes that was a joke I needed to add some spice to the post!  It’s in my garage and tomorrow I’m taking it to the garage close to me to ask them to dispose it. Oh thanks am1w  for the litres correction.
Thanks to everyone on this group for all your help!
If you ever put petrol in to diesel car call me and don’t take it to the main dealer!

I just laughed at the manhole disposal knowing full well you were so proud of your performance that a tiny mistake would be jumped upon with great alacrity and without any congratulation for your hard work.

Congratulations and take care.

A little suggestion.. If you can, remove the fuel sender unit and look into the fuel tank. If there are any signs of magnetic swarf then the car isn't ok and will need further repairs. I've done quite a few of these at my workplace (not VW) and I agree the procedure to repair is very long and expensive. However if that swarf gets into the pump then injectors, the car will not have a long life.

FYI it has been 5 days, done 235 miles no issues what’s so ever.  I’m not taking the sender unit off as I am not sure if I will be able to put the seal back properly. Golfti I’m not sure if your post refers to me about holy orders and massive fine. Sorry I don’t understand what it means.

Thanks all agin.

Regarding Holy Orders was addressed to Saint Steve (SS) as he is a fallen saint for admonishing you for misfueling!
