So I've had the boot done as well, collections tomorrow and I feel I'm going to want to get the rest of the car done to match! Damn it! Why did I go ahead and get some freshly painted panels!

Had a pretty productive day today. Got the car back yesterday and pretty pleased with the finish, but now I want the rest done to look sparkly and new.

Also took the time to install the heated seat loom and switch which, while easy enough, was a pain as I've got fat hands!

I did do it though, and as you can see, I did it properly, and I cleaned too as, also as you can see, the car was in a sorry state.

Paint is looking sweet man! I would have had the aerial out though. From looking at the pics, was the windscreen taken out?

Cheers mate. I know we discussed the 1.8T recently but in all honesty, life and money are the 2 biggest b!tches ever, so I think I may need to do the VR route, I will of course be in touch when I want that done but got a few other things to sort out first.

Yes mate, in fact I had that replaced as there were a couple of chips in it. So it's all squeaky clean now. My bumpers are looking a bit pale so in the next couple of months I'm going to get him to respray those. Then I will focus on the rest of the body, couple of small rust issues to correct before I can go much further just yet. Thankfully, not the sills.

Right. My BBS RXIIs aren't the Anniversary ones, I knew this when I bought them but its always bugged me, yet I never did anything about it. So yesterday in the early hours, I decided to do a sneaky scan of eBay and found some that were almost finishing and at a low price. Chucked a cheeky bid in and won!

Collected later that day and all seemed pretty good.

My idea was to nab the newish tyres off my current RXIIs and out them on the new ones but before I do that, I will get them refurbished. As many know, this is a hard task purely because the bolts usually stick, snap or round. Thankfully only one bolt was an issue for me.

I was really surprised considering all the horror stories I've read. My right hand is killing me now though, some were on good and proper!

I have a set of these sat in my shed with the tyres off, ready for me to split down. I'm not really looking forward to it to be honest lol! Will be worth it in the end though! How are you guys refurbing yours? Colour coded? Original silver? Polished lips?
