Hi just taken delivery of a Match 1.6 diesel with DSG box, so far so good well screwed together and gearbox great, However if you press the foot-brake, revs drop and gearbox does not pull. Sit at a junction etc for more than 30secs or more and I always apply handbrake, now for the BIG FAULT the handbrake is not connected to the electronics so the car revs, pulls and strains. Have just parted with a C4 Picasso with auto which was all sorted. Never had a chance to drive the auto as the dealers never had one, now I am stuck with this very annoying fault. "Oh yes it does that" says the sales guy the day after I collect it, Bugger

If you always apply the handbrake just push it into Neutral, annoying 'fault' fixed

Agreed on cars with manual handbrakes, but not on vehicles with electric handbrakes which his Citroen would have had

Just a bit disappointed as it would have been an easy fix taking a feed from a switch on handbrake.
Plus had several autos, they don't all pull and creep when handbrake applied.

Not a problem for me, just knock it into neutral as said above,
i never use the handbake at traffic lights etc, usually sit with foot rested on the brake and in neutral, slip back into D when ready and away you go

User error nothing else, leaving it drive is like trying to pull away in a manual car with handbrake on. Try the N

Err not quite more like manufacturer error, a minor thing that really annoys every time I stop. Oh well my fault for not insisting on a test drive in an auto.
A great car...................but.

It isn't an auto though!

Some normal slushboxes with a torque converter will be happy to take the abuse, but not a dual sequential 'box
