exhaust fitment

i have just won a ss backbox on ebay but its is not a golf box.
i want to fit it to my mk3 gti 8v so am going to flexing exhaust and a reducer pipe (will make a propper at work when i get a chance.

what inner diameter size flexy pipe will i need to fit gti 8v exhaust?

Bare in mind mk3's run skinny back boxes if you've got a chunky one will be a struggle to get fitted properly, my back box was universal fit and was a right pig to get fitted.

Ended up going down to powerflow, stil weren't 100% though

fitted in what way mate? hanging it or space to put it?

Space is a issue and also dunno if 8v's are the same as 16v but the angle at which the mid box pipe comes up to the back box is pretty awkward aswell

Sorry didn't completely read your last post yea hanging is one off the issues it'll hang to low unless you have it up against the spare wheel well

50mm inner diameter? so the standered 8v exhaust has a 52mm outer diameter then i take it?

My maxnex one measured 50mm outside diameter mate.
